Malaysia has always had a way of surprising travellers who think they already know it. Five days is exactly enough time to move through its contrasts, the pink mosque and gleaming towers of Putrajaya, the seafood lunches and rainbow-painted houses of Pulau Ketam, the misty highland air of Bentong, the cable car ride up to Genting, and the chaotic, delicious energy of Kuala Lumpur's streets. This itinerary covers all of it, with a guide who knows where to go and transport that takes the hassle out of every transfer.

The journey begins at KLIA, where your tour guide meets the group on arrival. Day one moves through Putrajaya, the pink Putrajaya Mosque, the geometric beauty of Putrajaya Square, the China-Malaysia Friendship Garden, and the IOI City Mall, one of the largest shopping destinations in Malaysia. It is a full first day that sets the pace for everything that follows.

Day two is the standout for food lovers. The group takes a short ferry ride to Pulau Ketam, a fishing village built on stilts above the sea, where a seafood lunch is included. From there, the itinerary moves back through KL to Jalan Alor Food Street for dinner before check-in at Kingston Hotel 8 or similar at Bukit Bintang. The highlight of the evening is the Durian Buffet at SS2, 45 minutes of unlimited durian featuring multiple varieties of local Kampung Durian. For guests who have never experienced this properly, this is the moment.

Day three heads to Bentong, a town that rewards slow exploration. The Bentong Gallery, Street Art Murals, Old Street, the Chai Tofu Factory, and the Famous Hakka Kuih are all part of the morning. In the afternoon, the group proceeds to Genting Highlands and boards the Sky Awana Cable Car included in the package, two-way, before checking in to First World Hotel or similar for the night.

Day four is a free day at Genting. Optional activities at your own expense include the SkyWorlds Theme Park, Chin Swee Caves Temple, Sky Casino, Sky Avenue Complex, and the Genting Brands Outlet. The group returns to KL in the afternoon.

Day five is the farewell morning. Kwai Chai Hong at Petaling Street is the final cultural stop an instagrammable wall art lane surrounded by old KL heritage buildings, with local delicacies to close the trip before the drive back to KLIA.
