MAJESTIC FERRY TRAVEL PARTNER

Majestic Fast Ferry youngest ferry operator started operation on December 2014. As the youngest leading ferry operator, Majestic Fast Ferry is always looking to improve and provide an efficient and delightful travel experience for passengers. Aiming to help ease congestion and boost traffic from Singapore to Bintan and Batam, Majestic Fast Ferry has been gradually increasing their fleet size, from 1 high-speed craft ferry in the year 2014 to the current strong fleet of 14.

Mr Max Tan, Director of Majestic Fast Ferry, said “Being the Youngest ferry operator, Majestic Fast Ferry has to be bold and innovative to remain competitive with older players in the market. We are always looking to explore new routes and ready to improvise and pioneer projects to create more accessibility and raise awareness to travellers.” At the beginning of 2019, Majestic Fast Ferry launch its latest ferry, the Majestic Grace. The 14th vessel in Majestic Fast Ferry’s fleet will ply the operator’s existing routes between Singapore and the Riau Islands in Indonesia. It will serve passengers travelling to and from Singapore Cruise Centre’s HarbourFront and Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore, Batam Center and Sekupang terminals in Batam as well as Tanjung Pinang in Bintan.

The ferry was designed by Incat Crowther, an Australian naval architect and engineering service firm. It is the second series of ships built by Majestic Fast Ferry at its shipyard on Batam Island, following its first series comprising Majestic 7, 8, 9, Dream, Pride, Faith, Wisdom, Liberty and Grace. The Majestic Grace can accommodate 317 passengers in its plush calf leather seats from Norway, including eight in business class. The new ferry is powered by two fuel-efficient high-speed diesel engines which can bring passengers faster to their destination compared to the regular three engines found on other ferries. Since introducing the catamaran service, Majestic Ferries has grown its market share, triggering the commissioning of additional vessels to a larger design. With an extra 1.5 metre beam and 6 metres more length, it is more comfortable and also gives passengers a 360-degree view of the scenery from the ferry.

Today, Majestic Fast Ferry sail 60 trips daily to and fro Singapore and Batam, Indonesians and 10 trip daily to and fro Singapore and Tanjung Pining, Indonesia.
